After the cabinet expansion in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has made the much-awaited allocation of portfolios. The Chief Minister has kept important departments like General Administration, Home, Personnel, Vigilance, Appointment and Training and Information and Public Relations with himself, which will maintain direct control over governance and law and order. Dhami, who has been handling more than 35 departments so far, has handed over many departments to fellow ministers to ensure speed and better coordination in the work. Recently inducted new ministers Khajan Das, Madan Kaushik, Bharat Singh Chaudhary, Pradeep Batra and Ram Singh Kaira have also been given responsibilities. This allocation has been made keeping in mind administrative efficiency, regional balance and better implementation. Politically it is being considered as a strategy by the Chief Minister to effectively distribute the work. 1.
