Uttarakhand Diploma Engineers Federation has threatened to go on a complete strike from April 1st. The federation has expressed displeasure over the non-action on the 277-point charter of demands. On Thursday, a virtual meeting of the central executive of the federation was chaired by Pankaj Saini and Operations Yamuna Ghati Secretary Rajesh Tiwari. The meeting mainly expressed anger over the absence of any positive order or dialogue from the government on the 27-point charter of issues despite the assurance of the Chief Minister at the federation's meeting. The meeting decided that the members of the organization working in the three power corporations will be forced to go on strike in the second phase in compliance with the agitation program announced by the federation. The Advertising Federation is currently holding a district-wise sit-in in Dehradun. All the constituent unions of the federation are ready to go on strike on March 23rd. The importance of providing essential services to the consumers and the power sector is also discussed.
