Uttarakhand Minister Threatens Resignation and Suicide Amid Corruption Allegations

Uttarakhand Social Welfare Minister Khajan Das has made a big statement after being hurt by his party workers'allegations of irregularities in the schemes. Minister Khajan Das said that if the allegations of commission or corruption against him are found to be true, he will not only resign from the post of minister, but may also take a step like suicide. At present, the political temperature of Uttarakhand has risen with the minister's statement. In fact, on September 11, the Social Welfare Department had released a list of projects worth about 9 to 12 crore rupees for the Chakrata area under the Scheduled Castes Sub Plan and Tribal Sub Plan. As soon as the list came out, there was resentment among the local BJP workers. The workers allege that the proposals of the party workers have been completely sidelined in it. Due to this, BJP MLA Munna Singh Chauhan's wife and former district panchayat president Madhu Chauhan on Sunday gheraoed the residence of the minister Khajan Das and opened a front against his party.
