Warden Killed at Indian Juvenile Home After Being Attacked by Teenagers

The incident took place on Wednesday evening when preparations were underway for the Independence Day function at the juvenile home. Warden Saheb Ram was on his way to collect tools from the security guard to repair a damaged air cooler on the premises. It is alleged that three teenagers attacked him from behind with a wooden plank. Police have registered an FIR against the three teenagers. Two of them were already lodged at the juvenile home in murder cases, while one was lodged there under the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act. Sriganganagar Superintendent of Police Harishankar said that a case has been registered against the three accused. We will produce them in court today to seek police remand to ascertain the motive behind the attack. He said that the relatives of the deceased have refused to allow the post-mortem to be conducted and are demanding compensation. Talks between the administration and the families of the deceased are still on in this regard.
