Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has warned of strict action against those involved in corruption and illegal property cases. Speaking at a public meeting in south Kolkata's Bhabanipur on Monday, he claimed that those who have looted the state's wealth and created illegal wealth will soon be brought to book. He also claimed that those who have indulged in large-scale corruption, illegally created wealth and looted the state will be sent to jail by the BJP government in accordance with the law. He claimed that many others like former minister Sujit Bose will soon face legal action. Suvendu alleged that there have been allegations of irregularities in several properties in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation area. He said that he has ordered an investigation by the secretary of the Municipal Administration and the Kolkata Municipal Corporation. Abhishek Banerjee has a total of 24 properties. His company Leaps and Bounds has 14 properties. Four properties are in his own name and six are in his father's name. He also claimed that Javed Khan's son has been searched in about 90 circles.
