The budget session of the West Bengal assembly is scheduled to begin on June 18. Prior to this, an all-party meeting and a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) were held in the assembly. Usually, representatives of all major parties are invited to these meetings, but this time the impact of the ongoing tussle within the TMC was clearly visible. According to sources, senior MLA Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay, nominated by the TMC for the post of Leader of Opposition, did not receive an invitation for the meeting. Analysts believe that the political equation in the assembly is also changing.
