Kolkata: A total of three state chief ministers lost their seats in the elections in five states. MK Stalin and Pinarayi Vijayan have resigned, paving the way for a new government. But in West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has declared that she will not resign. According to sources, Mamata Banerjee told the MLAs that the party will go to the Supreme Court with complaints of EVM tampering and vote loot by the BJP and the Election Commission. Mamata Banerjee held a press conference after the crushing defeat in the results on May 4. She said that she was not defeated. But Mamata Banerjee may suffer a setback here because of the bumper voting in the first phase in Bengal. She said that as a citizen of India, I am very happy to see the voting percentage. The list of MLAs submitted to the governor by the Election Commission is discussed in political circles. Mamata Banerjee is doing so to boost the morale of the TMC cadre and to show herself as a martyr.
