West Bengal Government Appoints Aditi Choudhury as Administrator of Asansol Municipal Corporation

Asansol Municipal Corporation: With this action taken under Section 60 (Forest) of the West Bengal Municipal Corporation Act 2006, the IAS officer who is currently the Commissioner of Asansol-Durgapur Development Authority has been appointed as the Administrator of Asansol Municipal Corporation. Aditi Choudhury has been the Commissioner of Asansol Municipal Corporation during the Trinamool government. It was during her tenure that the new building of Asansol Police Commissionerate and District Ruler was inaugurated online by former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Aditi Choudhury, a young soft-natured officer hailing from Uttar Pradesh, is reported to have been appointed as the Administrator of Asansol Municipal Corporation in addition to the Commissioner of ADDA by the BJP government in view of her capacity of administrative work. Aditi will be the Administrator for 6 months.
