West Bengal Politics: The political temperature of the state is once again rising in West Bengal politics. Legal clampdown has now started on the sharp statements of the leaders in the electoral battle. In this sequence, the problems of TMC leader and Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee seem to be increasing. An FIR has been registered against him in Bidhannagar Cyber Crime Police Station for making provocative and objectionable speeches during the West Bengal Assembly elections. The complaint alleges that the statements made in the election meetings tried to spread social tension and enmity in the society, which could affect law and order. It is also alleged that Abhishek made threatening statements about Home Minister Amit Shah during his speeches. Rajiv Sarkar, who filed the FIR, has also submitted video links of several election rallies of Abhishek Banerjee to the police in support of his allegations. After the complaint was received in Baguia police station of West Bengal on 15 May, 192 FIRs have been registered against Banerjee under sections 35, 363 (192) and 363 (192) of the law.
