Youth Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison for Forcing Child to Drink Acid

Anand, Five and a half years ago, in the Nani Khodiyar area of Anand city, a 16-year-old boy was molested by his parents. The youth forced her to drink acid from him. As the case was going on in the Special Court of Anand, the court pronounced a verdict sentencing the accused youth to ten years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs.51,000.Ajay alias Jadio Chhaganbhai Nayak, a 19-year-old youth, was living with his family in Bapa Sitaram Society in the Nani Khodiyar area of the city. He was repeatedly harassing a 16-year-old child on his way. So on 9 December 2020, when the parents of the child went there with Ajay alias Jadia, instead of understanding him, he forced the acid from the child and then ran away. The police filed a charge sheet in the case under Section 326 (A) of the IPC, Section 11 (1) of the POCSO Act.
