Youth Vote Bank Emerges as Key Factor in Banswara Municipal Council Elections

There are a total of 94,121 voters in 60 wards of Banswara Municipal Council. The number of Gen-G voters in the age group of 18-25 years is more than 12,000. It is about 34,000 voters in the age group of 18-35 years. The share of this age group in the total electorate is about 36,5%. In terms of statistics, about 12,000 Gen-G voters in the age group of 18-25 years are divided into 60 wards of the Municipal Council. On an average, there are about 200 Gen-G voters in each ward. In such a situation, this vote bank can affect the margin of victory in many wards. Some time ago, there was an agitation by the'Cockroach Janata Party'in New Delhi. This was followed by the formation of two groups of youth up to 25 years of age, especially across the country. One group of voters was with the CPJ, while the other was opposed to it in the city of Banswara.
