Former Indian cricketer and Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Yusuf Pathan has suffered a huge setback in the long-standing dispute of land allotment by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC). After the strict stand of the Gujarat High Court, Yusuf Pathan has withdrawn his legal appeal filed before the division bench without any conditions and has also expressed regret before the court. This entire dispute is related to a plot of 978 square meters near Shubham Party Plot located in Tandalja area of Vadodara. Yusuf Pathan had applied to acquire this land in the year 2012. The standing committee of Vadodara Municipal Corporation had passed a resolution and suggested to give the land on market price and the general body had also approved it. After this, the file was sent to the state government for final approval. However, the state government officially rejected this application of land allotment in the year 2024. On the other hand, without any official allotment letter (allotment letter), the Gujarat High Court had reached the place and issued a notice for the removal of the cattle shed.
